This senior had a special request for her photoshoot... she wanted her family involved!
Many seniors are excited for their session, since this is somewhat a right of passage for the end of their school days. It's not often, however, that seniors want to share the limelight with the people who have spent the last 18 years raising them, their parents. I thought it was super special that this senior wanted to get photos with her family. She wanted them since she would soon be going off to the air force, and wanted to commemorize this moment in time.
Before the parents arrived, however, we played in the wildflowers.
This senior had a specific vision for her senior photos. She wanted wildflowers and fields. Pheasant Branch Conservancy in Middleton, WI was the perfect setting for these pictures. I also loved how her blue dress stood out against the greens and yellows of the fields.
Time for an outfit change!
Most of my seniors this summer have been choosing two outfits: one dressy, and one casual.
This senior was full of fun ideas. She brought her sister's old graduation cap and gown!
When we arrived at our photoshoot location, she asked if it was okay for us to take some pictures with her sister's old cap and gown. I loved that idea. Now, she can use her senior photos to also post on graduation day at the end of the school year. I also loved that her cap and gown was green, since she goes to Memorial High School on the west side of Madison.
Then the parents arrived, and we had so much fun!
This senior's parents were so funny! I loved that they didn't take the photos too seriously, and just had a fun time with it. It meant that I got some silly pictures, which are honestly more treasured in families than the most beautiful serious ones.
The best photos are always at the end of the session.
Most of the session we had cloud coverage, since it had been a rainy day earlier. But right as golden hour hit, the sun peeped out and made for some magical moments.
